I hope to get there ASAP. I just stumbled ino this and am really enjoying it. I am getting a building, DEP Permit, R2, and really going after it. I see it as a very lucrative business. AND I am just absolutely disgusted of dealing with anyone who wants me to do any remodeling work for them. I am liquidating a few assets and it's off to follow a new path. Let's hope the marketing machine is well oiled!!!!

Thanks, hoping for the best. I am just getting everything set up now. Spending more than I thought. Funny though, I went to buy a load of stuff from a guy. Next day he calls and asks me to call his friend. 20 pounds of RAM, Motherboards galore, and a bunch of other stuff. Picking up on Monday.

one stick of ram, or two ? (or 4 or 6 or 8?)
imbedded video, sound, netcard, or add-ins ?
ATA or SATA? Hard drive present? or missing?
you will never nail an accurate sum to an "average" computer
how much does an average vehicle weigh?
how much is an "average" vehicle worth?
I have never found a more suitable comparison for a computer, than to compare it to a "vehicle"

    3.5" & DVD 2.8 lbs @ $0.61 = $0.61

If you are really getting .61 per pound for cd-roms, an amazing price, your return here should have been $1.70

    Bear,

I know that I will never really get a true estimate for each box I break down. This was more an effort in "how much is really in here?" It was hard for me to understand how the many parts broke down. I have scraped for years and the e-scrap is new to me. I still feel a little like "wow look how much I get for shredder scrap!"

    1 Stick of RAM
    3 cards cards
hard drive present. (what is the difference ATA & SATA)

The larger sata drives and even the large ata drives are worth selling on ebay if you already have an account.
