    Anyone ever heard of Guzu.com?

I got an email from a representative of Guzu.com the other day. They have a strange business model that involves the client sending them a large amount of electronics. They sell the working items on ebay and scrap or wholesale the rest, giving the client 60% of the profits. It's very interesting to me that a company would work like this. Has anyone ever had any dealings with them?

This has SCAM written all over it. Not to mention they don't want old equipment.

you could always send an amount you are not afraid to get burned on. If it works out sweet...if not lesson learned. Consignment has been done legit for many years. Maybe they don't have the capital to buy upfront and are trying a different approach. Having said all this Dozenski has a better than average chance of being right so tread carefully.

That's exactly how I do it when I try a new buyer. But this could be a great option if you don't have time to list everything yourself (if it is legitimate).

My name is Hesam Meshkat, CEO over at Guzu. I was just doing a search of our business and happened to come across this tread. I'm glad I did, so that I could answer some questions and concerns some people may have had. Our business is built behind our strong retail presence and wholesale capabilities. Clearly we are not the first to be doing this, but we are trying our best to stream line the process to make the opportunity easier on the recycler that does not want to deal with the retail headache. We also have strong wholesale presence which helps us move large lots of working products to areas that could use it best. We are a start up that launched last Jan, but have been growing and building good relationships with recyclers nationally. We have also process orders for thousands of customers via our website. References can be furnished to potential partners upon request, and if anyone else happens to have any questions or concerns simply respond to this thread. Thank you

Hi Guzu, Welcome to SMF I think if you'll register in the buyers/sellers area from the main page, you might find it well worth your while. I think with registration you can even advertise in the buyers and sellers section. Good luck with your venture
