We did a fundraiser for our local Humane Society. Ended up with 60+ computers, 30+ laptops, 25+ servers, more cables and printers than I can count.

The sucky thing was the guy just pulls up with his camera and asks if he can ask some questions. If i had known i would have had a sign in the background with my companies website on it, etc. I could have planned out what I was going to say a little more also.

So, are you a licensed e-waste recycler? I'm pretty sure that here in NY you have to be one to run an e-waste drive

I don't get it... I was just wondering what kind of certification he needed in Virginia to do an event like that. From what I've read on NY laws, whoever processes the stuff has to jump through a million hoops. Of course, most of the page was in Legalese, and I'm not all that fluent in that kind of stuff. I was only looking for some kind of comparison
