If their still good, you might try selling them on Ebay a lot at a time. Probably get more for them then scrap.

is there anything special about the orangish ribbon cable thing in #10?
Are the end of cell phone chargers gold connectors?
I learned from reading this thread that the connectors on the orange cables in the following picture are gold connectors. What is the rest of the wire made of? I imagine it is just plain ol "computer wire" $.70/lb ish, but it looks like it should be worth more.

Depends on whether the contacts on the mylar are silver or gold colored. Ive sold 1 ounce of gold mylar for $50.
I've been pulling the pins out of the ends of CAT5 connectors for awhile now. They're fairly easy to get out, I just use a flat tip screwdriver or even my fingernails and the pins readily pop out. The shape of the pins can be seen in the following pics.
CAT 5 connectors have 8 pins each. I counted 900 connectors which gave me a little over 2 oz of gold plated pins. It'll take alot of these to make any kind of weight but you can sit watching your favorite TV show while pulling the pins out. Hope this helps.
Ive been doing those as well.my gf has done some of the ribbon connectors from computers..they dont seem to be as profitable, but what the hell, gets her to do something productive...lol
usb and sata data cables are gold connectors
