    Dell Motherboards with Gold Fingers

I’ve noticed many Dell motherboards in the lot we just picked up have gold fingers along the side. I would like to proceed to trim them, just like a finger card, but wanted to check if anyone knew if this would devalue the board at all? I would assume no, as most motherboards do not have them. I would actually assume they may be worth more money per pound if left on.

Good question that I suspect only your buyer will be certain. The answer for me is since all P4 mobo's are now at a lower price the fingers are coming off my motherboards. Mike.

Chances are the buyer is not going to pay you more for the boards unless you have a big load of just those boards you can have priced as a single lot. So I would say 3.50 per lb. verses 70-80 per lb. is worth it.
