be sure to clean up excess metal! I can see on the top of the motherboard stack a steel plate.

Ahh I actually stared worrying about that yesterday. I should have just taken them off to be safe. I'll get the ones off that have plastic pins holding them. What about metal that is soldered on?

Soldered on aluminum comes off easily with a bit of wiggling. Got everything good and dropped the shipment at fedex today. I'm psyched! This took me a while to accumulate. About 5 months. I currently only get ewaste from my work when their equipment dies or is replaced but I'm considering seeking out more sources in my spare time.

I'm trying to send my first shipment. Starting small to figure it out, but I have a lot of escrap to break down. I have 20 lbs of gold finger cards, but when I go to print a packing slip there isn't an option for gold finger cards to choose, so I selected "other" --- does ewasted just get the shipment and then decide what it's worth? Can I send a mixed shipment? if it is separated? and is FedEx the thru ewasted the best
    way to go?

It is best to sort things as good as you can, but Ewasted will determine the value when they go through it so you don't have to be exact on the category. It helps them out to separate items in the boxes, but it can be shipped together. Their FedEx pricing is pretty good especially since they can have it picked up at your door.

I use Ewasted an co, an never had an issue with multiple boxes. That might work better for you. I sent 7 boxes on my first shipment. lol. 140lbs of ewaste. They sort like the pros they are, but separating the stuff always helps them. If your not sure, drop a note in the box with the mystery items. I would sort an bundle what you can, an the rest include a note with what YOU THINK it is, then let them figure it out when it arrives. Mario an company aren't going to pay you for a fiber cpu if it's not one, they are one hell of a honest group in my experience.

Good luck an be sure to visit his buyer thread an read up, he has lots of good info in there. It's a long thread, but lots of info in there for you.

I usually put a check in the box for printed circuit boards for the finger cards on the packing slip. Ewasted correct me if I am wrong here. You can send a mixed shipment but separate it by bagging or boxing the sorted items. This makes it easier for the Ewasted team
to go through your shipment and send you the $$$$ faster. They will price it according to the price list in effect when your shipment is received . If you have questions you can go on his site and chat online with the magical, mystical and amazing chat lady and she can answer all of your questions ( regarding Ewaste of course) Hope this info helps.

I usually start with motherboards, sheet of newspaper then misc. bigger boards. Bag up the cpu's, ram, etc, then pack the finger cards and small misc. boards around them. I use the newspaper to separate the different categories rather than just throwing all in together. May not be much but every minute or two I can save them is all the quicker they can get to your order.
