    Yeah I saw some on ebay but I meant more in terms of scrap.........Any gold there or just aluminum

    The only gold might be the lil pins in the plug-in on the end.

    I stand corrected, like was said below, probably a small circuit board also.

    there is a small circuit board inside.simply ply the cover off with a flat head. As is they should fetch close to a dollar a pound.

    The outer case is sheet aluminum. That is not gold. It is an anodized coating on the metal.
