I broke the bottom out of one getting it off the board and when I looked at it there was all kinds of small gold traces back and forth going to the different legs. Just looked at a buyers price list and their listed at 6.00 a lb now.

$6.00 a lb is not bad. Will break all the rest of them off tomorrow when I get home and put them in a separate bin.

If your needing to break them off then you should be leaving them on, unless it's a lower grade board.

We're not telling you that, if you don't have time just leave them on. Some buyers want the batteries off anyway so while your doing that just check the board real quick for any plug-in chips.

The ones I have pictured above were not soldered on. I took a small flathead screw driver, and put underneath and just lifted them up.

I have seen others talk about them, but didnt know what they were worth.

The ones that are soldered on, I cant remove without breaking them.

Okay for some reason, I have 6 hard drives that are not getting detected on my pc. I dont know if that means they have already been wiped or not.

Besides the possibility of them already being wiped, is there another reason for this?

I dont feel comfortable trying to sell them on ebay if they do contain information.

If they dont detect on your computer how can they be wiped? If they dont detect then something is wrong with the drive.

Maybe you should just save yourself the brain damage and sell them to Parttimescrapper.

I dont know..that is why I am asking, if the PC is not detecting them for some reason, would that mean they are already wiped.

I have 9 total. 5 were detected, and 4 wasnt.

Guess the 4 that wasn't, I will just break them down.
