Ive been thinking about buying it. I was thinking it might be a good quick reference when you are out on the road. Havent bought it yet though
Does it tell how to identify each processor?
I think it's an awesome idea and kudos to the author. I've been writing an e-waste book as well when time is available but plan on really tackling the project this winter. I want the book to be the encylopedia of e-waste, lol, but, like most of my other books I will probably just make it a free download.
I highly recommend the e-Book. I would be surprised to find that you do pay that $10.00 off by resorting some of your materials in a few minutes!

There are several threads on here that show you the different processors.
Worth it, Some of the stuff that is says on there to advertise, I did it, and I got 50-60 Computer towers coming my way in a Couple days. Well worth it.
As the author of the ebook, I'd like to thank you guys for the compliments!
And Kochy, seriously? That's GREAT!!!! What a haul!
I plan on keeping the book updated whenever necessary, so I will gladly send updated versions to anyone who has downloaded it when the time comes.
It's still available for FREE for Scrap Room members!
I read the book as well. I also used some of the craigslist ads and they seem to work just as well as the ones I was using allready. Being the part time scrapper I am I would put the Ebook right up there with my computer parts identification thread as far as how helpfull it really is. I even learned a couple things myself. Well done Ryan.
Ryan's ebook is a great tool for anyone, I wish I would've had this when I first started. Great job Ryan! Also, I agree with PTS - his thread sticky is a must read. Would also suggest Devo's component thread & Mechanic's sticky on grading boards & parts. Whenever someone begins 'escrapping', there's a rush of excitement. Most of us jump in head first, but we'd all probably save our selves a few bucks and many hours if we spent a day or 2 reading all of the sticky's and Ryan's ebook.
PS - For anyone that is unaware we have worked out a deal with Ryan for his ebook, using this link you get an exclusive discount only for Scrap Metal Forum members which is less than what the general public has to pay to obtain it, http://www.scrapmetalforum.com/go/escrap-rookie

We're the renegades of Junk!
I just bought it, too, and would say it's well worth it. It's already paid for itself in using it to answer questions I had yesterday while I was tearing some towers apart.
People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.
now if only i could get a scrap room membership on sale, i would probably buy that too
- i know
The book is a very good read, well laid out, and easy to understand. Job well done
