Picked Up (5) 1996 Power Mac's For Free

They were all left out in the rain along with a few other items and a large file cabinet. Interested to see if they have a removable processor or not. Will find out tonight after some lawn work. Anybody have any eperience with these?

The 9500's are very nice PCI Powermacs with 604 CPUs (they are on a removable card). Only the 9500 and 9600 came with 6 PCI slots so collectors tend to like them.

I might be interested in some parts if they havn't been gutted yet. 9500's have very brittle plastics.

The motherboards are really nice, They have at least 8 large IC chips on the back of the motherboard with all the normal things found on the front. It wouldn't suprise me if a buyer would pay more for them as I would think the pm recovery is really nice. I'm saving all motherboards like these and ones that have processors built into the board to see how much I can get per pound. I have about 15 of them right now.

I've plugged up quite a few of them so far and none power on. Like i said, they were left out in the rain for a couple of weeks.

Any of them full of RAM or have any interesting add-on cards? Also are the CDROM bezels intact (they tend to break off, I could use a couple)?

Quite a few old memory sticks 64mb, etc. I will check on some of the other parts when my family and I get back from our short vacation this Thursday (we leave early Monday morning). It seems like as soon as I book our vacation, the phone calls start pouring in for computers and lawn care, but, I don't want my boys to grow up not knowing what the beach looks like
