Want to throw a tip out there for laptops not powering on

Just want to try and do my best to help out so here is a tip.

If you get a laptop and doesnt power on.

    Take off power cord and
    Remove battery
Hold power button for 30 seconds or longer.

Insert power adapter (no battery) try powering it on again.
I have fixed so many laptops this way, just basically discharges the motherboard. Hope this helps someone

    Jim

Have a small laptop right now, that I have been waiting on finding a new battery for. Will try this before I go to bed. Thanks for the tip.

I heard that from one of my main repair guys that I work with. He told me a full minute though.
