Do U no what HP servers are worth parted out?

Someone wants to sale me an HP server and it sounds to good to be true. However I am new to electronic recycling and need some advice.
I want to be sure that i can make my money back with some kind of a profit.
The description of the HP server the person gave me was this:
HP 9000 N class server, weighs in at 350 pounds.
    runs HP-UX operating system.
    Has 10-18 disk drives.
this is 4 way.. Has 4 computing units.

    my questions are:
how do I tell if parts have already been stripped, iow what should i look for. i know from reading on here that the server circuit boards are high grade.
And if someone could ballpark what a server like this is worth if it is all there and i dismantle and sell parts at an e-scrap yard or someone on this site.
Also what questions should i be asking the seller?
    Thanks in advance

$250 is way too much. You dont want to get in over your head and then get the shaft later. I would go with the $77 number. Personally I would not go over $60 your time and effort to break it down is the biggest part. You can mention to him that you are not a refurbisher and you will destroy it so that it wont get back into the market. (unless that is what your going to do) Then it would be worth about $350-450 give or take. The thing that I learned over time is dont spin your wheels with one guy when there is alot more out there.

Well he came down to $150 over the phone. I think i will go by and look at it and offer him half that. And now he says it only weighs 240 lbs.

I guess.......One server only weighing a couple 100 lbs is not worth chasing.........Try finding bigger loads...........They are out there and YOU CAN DO IT!!!
