    copper/gold fingers

    hello fellow scrappers. new with e scrap but not new to scrap. my question is how do you tell the difference betwwen copper/gold conectors and or fingers on a board, any help would be great, thanks

    Copper is on the red side and gold on the yellow side.

    Also nothing replaces experience. They do sell cheap testers on ebay. You have to be careful using the tester because the gold plating on electronics is very thin. If you check out the sticky thread on iding computer ewaste you will see items that have gold plated connectors and then you can compare to other unknown items. Mike.
