I've had a number of people ask me about removing their TV. It is almost always a Sony WEGA 270 pound CRT TV. I always say no thank you. Do any of you do those TV's and how much do you charge?
Most of these TV's are in someone's house and there is the issue of getting it out and liability.
I always refuse due to the issue of what to do with that huge CRT of leaded glass. No easy solution.

I try never to enter a home , I would rather they remove the items . I would charge for something this size the dump fee and a labor charge . Here it would be 10 bucks to dump the tube alone and I add 45 dollars for labor , gas etc

I hate the thought of going into a home and then having the home owner say I scratched a doorway or put a hole in the drywall or wallpaper. Between that and the CRT disposal, I am staying away.
I wondered what the rest of the you do, in that you all probably get approached as well.

I only like to take CRT TVs up to 25", so that's not an issue for me. They are easy enough to handle by myself. Also, because of state laws, I have no problem disposing of the tubes and plastic housing at free drop off sites.

,I found the sony 's to have the largest wrap around copper wires inside.
