    Certainly does not look like your standard qwerty keyboard, to bad your pictures are so bad i cant really see much.

    There's a Quanta Computer that started in 88 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quanta_Computer, not sure how that would relate to your 87. It could be an older company that either sold out or maybe it was an early prototype, no clue really. Either way you probably shouldn't scrap it. Also might check, if it was in an assortment of other things, to see if the monitor or other things might have been separated. Also, if the cover is easily removed, a good pic of the inside board and the back might help.

    i missed that first pic the first time around, looks like a bunch of network connectors. Maybe it was a server or gateway of some sort(just a wild guess)
