found this in a toshiba laptop today

This was under the heat sink on top of the CPU.

    CPU attached to mother board.

All I have read about gold in computers is that gold touches gold. This is the size of a small socket CPU and weighs 21 grams.
It was a Toshiba Satelite Pro and did not have any USB ports.

ben, take off the heatsink that has the fan attached to it should be 4 screws, if it is like mine it may have the gold plated plate underneath, on the back side of the moboard should be an ali cap with 2 screws in it, take those out, under that cap should be 2 more screws.
when i found the one i started this thread about, i was like no way, this cant be.

So what is the price per # of the gold plating if you went through a buyer and not ebay?
