I usually dont pay $20+ for ram but this lot caught my eye

1 Lb. OF SCRAP RAM MEMORY FOR - GOLD / CHIP RECOVERY | eBay

Looking thru all the pictures, zooming and rotating and such i was able to see 5 1gb sticks in it, who knows what other goodies are in there.

I am getting ready to launch an auction on Sunday for 20 pounds of server RAM that works. All one gig sticks of DDR RAM. I will be starting it at around $20 a pound scrap value. Hope to get a bunch more. If the sale does not go through I will ship it off to my ewaste buyer.

Not an advert to sell as I am not posting a link to the sale. Just sharing that I am going to try my first RAM sale on E-bay.

I have 5 ram listings on ebay right now. Sold same amount within the last month. Ecc ram is harder to sell and wont bring as much as desktop ram, but it still sells alot higher than scrap.

    Infineon 1GB PC3200R DDR-400MHz ECC reg CL3 Memory HYS72D128300HBR-5-B | eBay
    Sold 59 of them.

I paid 400 for like 600 total sticks. Ive tripled my money so far and still have more to sell. Granted its been months of selling them. But the auction just renews every 30 days. Some weeks I sell 5 sticks others I sell 20.

i sell 1gb ecc sticks for $5 each including shipping, that is like for a lot of 10. I dont sell ecc 1gb or less individually, its not worth it.

Just bought a lot for $50 it has 8 4gb sticks, for 32gb total. Gonna ask $200 for it as it should go for $300, should be a quick flip for 300%+ profit:

9 Ram, 4gb and 2 gb, for Scrap Gold and Precious Metal Recovery | eBay

This lot of the same ram specs but dell brand is currently bid up to $140 with 5 days left on the listing:

Ill tell you. If I sell it for $4 i make th buyer pay the shipping of $2 for first stick and $1 for each additional stick. So lets say someone buys 4 sticks on my ebay auction.
cost to post 30 day auction is $.50
4 sticks is $16 plus $5 for shipping and handling. Total $21
Fees for paypal and ebay are ruffly 15% so that would be $3.15
Envelope and antistatic bag cost me $.25 total.
Paper and ink to print label ill estimate at $.10
    Actual shipping cost is $1.84

So total cost of the sale to me is $5.84
Total profit from sale to me is $15.16 or ruffly $3.29 a stick. Thats way better than scrap value.
Now this is for server stick. I sell 1gb desktop sticks for between $6 and $8 each. But I also pay $2 each for good ones if you want to send them to me and not ebay them yourself. Granted it takes time to test them out and make sure they are working before putting them up on ebay. But I just do that while im sitting here reading the forums. I can test about 4 sticks a minute with my current set up.

On a $100 sale of cpus/ram, i will make around $80 after the costs are factored in other than what i paid for it. So if i pay $50 for an item and resell it for $200 i would make a $110 profit or over 300%.

Yea your right just a measly 220% for a few clicks to make a listing and a 1 min to print a label and reship it in the same packaging.
