    Laptop Motherboard VS Desktop MB

I recently took apart a bunch of old laptops pentium I and II, I noticed the board were heavily populated with eproms and gold plated all around the board(each about 12oz.). So doe these boards go as Mobo or are they a higher grade? Like hard drive board any help would be appriciated.

I was once completely obsessed with motherboard. I even tore into computers that still ran. Lol. I came to the conclusion that it just wasn't worth my time and effort. Some will disagree but you really need an unlimited supply of high quality motherboards to turn a buck. Best of luck

I disagree, it depends on how many you get, how much they cost you. There is money to made selling ewaste. Just read the old threads on ewaste and check out our member-buyers. Mike.

I just got a bunch of laptops for free when I bought some towers. The guy threw them in there to get rid of them. I would sell them whole but shipping would kill me so I break them all down and sell them like that. The motherboard doesn't weigh much but like I've said and heard many times " it all adds up".
