I got a old
Amazon Kindle today to scrap. It got sat on or something and the screen was badly damaged. Anyway, here is how to scrap a Kindle!

Before the teardown:

I shoved a Flathead screwdriver into the side of it, and pried off the aluminum backing (Photo of Aluminum Back):

With back off:

After taking off a billion steel screws, you get to the main PCB (li-on battery removed also):

You get a nice AnyDATA wireless Modem thingy. I'm assuming you would toss it in with fingercards?:

Board with screen attached. What grade would it be with the screen on?

Back of the board. Lots of gold. I almost want to say cell phone grade:

All three of the goodies:

If y'all ever get one of these, I would take it apart.
