    3.5" Floppy drives

Just a quick FYI since there has been some discussion about breaking down drives for the boards. Check your 3.5 floppys especially the older ones, I was tearing some down today to get the small motors and fingers when I opened a few up there was a nice piece of cast aluminum in them like you find in harddrives. Not all have it but if you were turning them in whole you might want to take off the cover and take a look. The ones that had it were some old panasonic floppys that were in the bottom a box that I had put aside a while back. Didn't weigh them but they were pretty easy to get clean only a few screws and probably are a few ounces each.

I won't be wronged. I won't be insulted. I won't be laid a-hand on. I don't do these things to other people, and I require the same from them.” John Wayne-- The Shootist

Some of those old floppy drives can be used in Amiga systems (and are well worth trying to sell).

    Model numbers found here:

Same with old working IBM PS/2 floppy drives.
