    I took in 12Kg of plastic coated wire here in NZ & got NZ$36 for it, thats US$24.

    You would have been once. The NZ$ was worth US$0.40cents.

    $4000 US$ invested into 3 houses in NZ in 2001-2 would return you over US$300,000 cash now.....
