Metal Recycling Entrepreneur
Being that I am far from an expert on the subject of E-Waste, I must propose a question to you, the people. While breaking down a cheap printer I found. I came across a, for lack of a better term "ribbon wire" that seemed to follow the printing mechanism as it traveled back and forth. I had torn into it and the "wire" inside had a very silvery look to it. What is this wire made of? Is it worth saving? I await your responses, and as always, thank you.

I call it "silver mylar ribbon" and as far as value, I'm not sure, I'm still researching that part. I don't throw anything away if it looks to have value.
Someone over on "another" forum refined a few of them and recovered a baby BB of silver. Was just reading about it last nite. He has not tested it yet to see the purity and value yet.
He's also doing the mylar films out of keyboards.
