The one I was referring to before, looked like it was 98% gold content. It literally almost looked like a bar of gold. No one on here knew what to classify it as. I just wish I remember who posted it.

Mechanic, that looks definitely close to it. (This was not long after I had joined, so I dont remember exactly what it looked like, but I do believe it was definitely like that).

What would it be classified as?

Here's a look inside one I got that had three 'eyes' on it. The plating looks whiter than I'd expect from gold plating. Maybe just a trick of the light? The red epoxy/rubber will scrape out with an old flattip precision screwdriver, then I snapped off a small piece of the cast aluminum body (at arrow) to give me a better angle to pry the back face off. That revealed the populated side of the board, but prying the board itself off involved an extended argument with three spots of rubber glue that didn't want to release. Just be patient & work at it... it'll give eventually.

I got a single eye LNB yesterday... when I get it apart I'll post pics if they differ significantly from the one above.

The single eye LNB didn't differ much, so no pics.

However, I did get 2 more LNBs yesterday which I just disassembled. First the good one: TONS of screws, but a decent reward atfter removing them.

Then the not-so-good. This was from a TurboHD dish. Model plate shown. Darn thing is COPPER plated instead of gold.

Last I remember Mario at Ewasted was giving me $5.00 per lb for those boards. He was classifying them as high grade telecom. This all by memory and I do smoke....so dont quote me LMAO!
