    What in the Wii

Hey, I got a broken Wii today for a quarter, console only. It weighed just over 2 lbs and I wanted to see what was inside so I just went to work on it. After expending a little energy trying to break it open with a hammer I realized that I was getting more of a workout than actually playing the thing. Finally relenting and getting out the cordless screwdriver (that always seems a little odd to me), I took several small screws out of the otherwise nearly indestructable housing. Inside I found some steel, a tiny bit of stainless, a small Al heat sink, small fan, laser diode, a Wii Sports disk, and this circuit board.

It weighs 6.5 ounces and was well worth the workout it took to get it. That gold strip is aver 3/8" wide plus each dot and circle are gold plus the controller connectors and card reader. I'm going to keep a lookout for these things from now on. Hmmm....I know right where another one is right now....kids, sorry the Wii must have "broken". Do you ever just want to take things from your home and scrap them? I get that feeling a lot.

Nice board there. I think they make the case indestructible because people getting mad and throwing the control at the thing. I know i have many times back in the day LOL.

The disk is most likely worth more than the board.....

greytruck.....my kids made me put the strap on my wrist so the controller couldn't "accidentally" fly away

Phantoms....yeah, I hadn't thought to look it up until you said that, but those discs are selling on eBay for $5.99 to $14.99, nice bonus.
