    try to google those numbers. They usualy lead to a spec sheet. On a cpu the speed fsb and cashe size is usualy prented on the chip. You can never get the exact stuff in a laptop from model numbers. But you can get what they came with from the seriel numbers and the manufacturers website.

    However, my question is this. Most of the auctions listed the specs for the laptop in the title...I know how to get all of that information if I can turn on the pc, but if you cannot turn it on, then how can you know what the specs are.


    Don't know if this works and you would have to have the power cord to try it. This guy says someting called an "electrostatic discharge" works about 50% of the time to get a laptop to turn on. Like I said, I never tried it but it would probably worth the time to see.

    Yes, in many cases, with Laptops, the outlined method in the video usually works, assuming of course that the RAM/Hard Drive are intact/ Naturally, being a computer, your mileage may vary.
