    You throwin' that away, mister?

I asked as I saw the man setting it by the bags of leaves on his curb..... trying to keep the drool out of my voice.

He said, "Yep... and I got 2 more back here. If you help me tote the rest of this junk to the curb, you can take whatever you want."

Junk, the man said..... JUNK!!!!

That was the only 486, tho.

This must be karmic payback for a coupla good deeds I did last week that I need not go into here. I'll just say, "What goes around comes around."

that board and those cards would be worth looking into before you scrap it

I have absolutely no clue what you just said.

I thought scrappin was gonna be easy money... LOLOL

Luckily I live pretty close to easyrecycle. I'm gonna pack up the truck with all the heavy green boards I've gotten so far & get his input.

Plus reading as much as I can here. You've given me some search terms to look for.

Ahh.. the beloved Socket 7. Most Socket 7 PC's were shipped with the 486 but it allowed you to look forward to upgrading to a P1.
