Someone got a good deal on this Pentium Pro on Ebay
Intel Pentium Pro SY032 7873 | eBay
It sold for $9.99 with free shipping. Not bad when BarrenRealms will pay $17.50 for it

I usually get $20 a piece from Ewasted.
Yeah that's great and all...but...CAN I SCRAP IT!?
I have no idea how people can pay that much for Pentium Pro's and make any money at all on them. There is only .33 grams of gold per each chip, period. I have literally run hundreds of them, and never had any yields over .33 grams.

At the heart of science is an essential balance between two seemingly contradictory attitudes--an openness to new ideas, no matter how bizarre or counterintuitive they may be, and the most ruthless skeptical scrutiny of all ideas, old and new. This is how deep truths are winnowed from deep nonsense. -- Carl Sagan

My guess is they are home refiners and gold hoarders. Last pro I sold I talked to the guy on the phone and that's exactly what he was doing.
Maybe I need a new calculator but at .33 grams per chip and a buyer at 17.50 a chip, it puts the purchase price per troy ounce at 1649.00. Am I missing something or is there other precious metals in the chip?
lol awesome maybe we both won yesterday then got a lot of 53 cpus mostly green/alu but also a ppro a few brown and black and a couple others paid with shipping $45 which the 40 will be about 5lbs so that equals my buy price and the rest is profit but may save the pro for collection but its not as much fun as finding one myself though
