Hm. Wouldn't they have to prove that THAT particular hard drive was the one that turned up? And how would they do so? Seems like a setup for a problem down the road.

Now, the forum itself was designed and created for pretty much the same purposes. For individuals/companies to be able to seek advice, share their knowledge, tips, and tricks, and to help others in any way they possible can.

If everyone was forced to go to the "Scrap Room" to learn anything and everything about scrapping metal, then there would be no need for the public forum at all, and if that is the case, then the whole forum as an entire thing should be charged a membership.

The members who belong there, or don't belong there, all have free will to share their expertise and knowledge to anyone they want to, for free or other wise.

Way I see it, most people here, share their wealth of knowledge with those not so knowledgeable, because at one time, they themselves were not so knowledgeable, and they had someone who had been there, done that a million times over to give them a hand, so they are passing on that generosity.

Bottom line is simple...everyone has a choice here to share or not to share their findings, knowledge, tips, and tricks, whether they belong to the "Scrap Room" or not.

Also, one thing that anyone in general should understand, that with so many resources readily available on the internet, and all of them for free, there is so many choices to get the information anyone seeks, without needing to pay for it.

I am not knocking the Scrap Room at all. I have heard nothing but great things about the place, just my humble opinion. I do plan myself to become a member more than likely in the near future. As well as a buyer on this forum, which I test the waters for the stuff I sell on my own a little bit more, so I have a strong idea on pricing, and what I can flip it for, and how long it will take me. Take it how you wish.
GeorgeB is right! This website is all about questions! Even have a Scrap Metal Questions and Answers area in the regular forum area! and I do intend on getting a scrap room membership as well, when I have the money to. I will be doing this to support the forum not to find money making ideas that may or may not be there!

I have the same software and the $49.00 can only be used on one computer. If I remember correctly you can erase 18 drives at a time with it. The only thing it did not support was erasing SCSI drives, I hope that is something they offer in the near future.
