    Gold cover over memory board

I have come across 2 SyncMax 256kb boards that have a "gold" cover over one half of the green portion of the board. Is this infact gold (or gold mix) or should I just pry it off and sell the board w/out it? Thanks gang.

More than likely anodized aluminum, just pop it off and put it with your aluminum.
Post a pic to make sure. Or look up rambus.
