great day escrapping found my first pentium pro

    great day escrapping found my first pentium pro

    Bought 2 lots today from local sellers



    results of first lot, 10 computers and 2 motherboards paid $55 for:
    1 pentium pro ceramic
    1 double sided gold pentium cap and base ceramic
    1 gold top ceramic
    2 gold base ceramic
    5 plain pentium ceramic
    2 mmx black fiber

    looks to be $60+ on the cpus alone

    results of 2nd lot paid $50 for:
    30 pounds of industrial green boards, midgrade/high grade $80
    2 intel atom 1.6ghz boards from pitney bowes equipment tested and working with 1gb ram on each board $70 each Advantech Aimb 210 Motherboard 1 6GHz Intel Atom CPU Mini ITX 1GB RAM N270 | eBay

    i also found a really old motherboard with no cpu on it, it looks like all it is ic chips, any idea what its worth?

    I have a 'Multitech' thats like that, but one of the normal looking chips has 'cpu' inked on it.

    yep thats possible, haven't pulled it or really looked into it yet, it has several pounds of ceramic ics on it so im guessing the scrap value of the board to be around $20, might be worth more tested and working

    I also found 2 pentium 4 651's, i didnt think they were worth anything but i looked them up and theyre going for $9 each, which is more than what pentium d dual core 820's are going for.

    LOL i probable have one out in the garage. Ive been so busy with all this hard drive and ram business havnt had time to break anything down. Good problem to have I guess.

    Nice haul. I have broken down probably over 1,000 PCs now and have yet to get one (pentium pro). I have a small hand full of 386 and 486 though.

    yea usually the pcs i scrap are fiber cpus. The lot i bought turned out be be 100% ceramic/black fiber which is very rare.

    I've brought in a dual pentium pro motherboard systems, got the works for 6.50 bucks.. made a premium on it,

    so Me buying scrap at 30 per pounds pays off.. one way or another.

    Congrats to your first pent pro.
