jsut came across a processor i couldnt tell what to do with. it is labled intel overdrive and it was in a box of random stuff and some pins are are bent over so i dont think i would do anything else with it as scrap. When i knocked the heat sink off there was no writing underneath but it is about the same size and pin configuration as a i486. i couldnt get a good picture but i found one very similar online, what catagory should i put it in?

$50 might be pushing it a little. Still would have been a nice chip to have but since it has been seperated it life has ended.

You might be right. Here's a link to one that sold for 15 bucks. Not big money, but better than a kick in the rear, I guess.

I would think all Intel Overdrives are worth more then scrap. The 486 ones run on 5VDC making them a nice upgrade for old 486 motherboard (newer 486 ran at 3.x VDC and would fry in an older board).
The 486 upgrade CPUs that sell well on ebay are the evergreen 133's that either have a heatsink stuck on them, or heatsink and fan. They work on 5V systems and are what the gamers tend to want.
