On one of my threads, someone posted about APC taking the old, non working units and sending you a free new one. I've never done it before.

There are quite a few buyers that purchase at per-pound rates. If i recall, normal prices are around $0.12--$0.15, but you would triple that if you parted them out before scrapping. Are they working? If so, throw an add on craigslist.

I pull the batteries and sell the batteries at their per lbs price.. .25-.35 depending on your yard. There are boards on the inside as well and the plastic gets put with the plastic. If they are all non-working this is what I have found to be the best outcome.
