selling ram on ebay

I have quite a few 1gb sticks of ram that can be matched with 1 or 2 stragglers, but all money makers.

However, I have a bigger pile of 512mb sticks of ram. From what I have seen on ebay, even if you pair them, they are going for maybe a few $ a pair. So for those of you who sell on ebay, do you feel it is worth it to sell it at all, or perhaps in 1 big lot.



I do have a gentlemen who stated he has a buyer at $0.75 a piece for it depending if it is DDR2 or not, but even if they are all DDR2 that is like $20 odd dollars.

I think you need to redo your math. at $17 a pound which is what denis is paying. $.75 a stick is right at scrap value unless they are all ddr2 with the real small black chips on them. I sell my 512mb chips in lots of 10 for $25 on ebay. After I sell all the ones I have i may start buying them again but I doubt it.

what part of the math is wrong?

I did $0.75 x the number of sticks and got like $22 I think.

on another note I went through the 512, 256, and 156 stuff and found that most of it will sell as well.

I was simply comenting that at $.75 a stick it might not be more than you can get just sending them to denis for scrap. Here are 4 examples of 512mb sticks and the scrap value of them at $17 per pound.

ddr double sided $.84

ddr2 double sided $.67

ddr single sided $.64

ddr2 single sided $.62


Now looking on ebay at the even older stuff like pc133 a 512mb stick sells for between $3 and $5 a piece maybe a little higher in matched pairs. I might have to look into start buying these for $1 each.

PTS, I see what you mean now. yeah the only stuff I am going to sell as scrap is the pieces that have no stickers or identifiers to them which luckily is a very small amount.
