I would call that, go on the vintage computer forum and see what those guys would offer you for it, Im sure more than scrap.

Just curious, what was the model of the server?
And why couldn't you call it RAM? It's been said many times here the chips hold a majority of the gold
I have some of those on e bay now, they relay may not be that old what mb or gig are they . mine are from an HP proliant 560 I think and they are 1G.
"anyone who thinks scrappin is easy money ain't doin it right!"
These came out of a HP Apollo series 700. They are 16mb.
no gold or silver fingers, has to be worth less than rdram (rambus), as for resale you need to check the part numbers on the stick to find out more info about it
I buy and sell all types of scrap and escrap. I buy specialty and hard to sell escrap. I buy resale items. PM me or contact me at jghilino@hotmail.com
I AM ACTIVELY BUYING ESCRAP OF ALL TYPES. BOARDS, RAM, CPUS AND MUCH MORE
I didn't notice the bottom of the ram. it looks like the receiver strip is attached to the ram instead of the board.
Yep reciever strip on the ram. Pins on the board.
Did a little research
Part#A2512-60002 16mb Simmons ram
Doesn't look like I'm gonna get rich.
basically the same as ram thats had the fingers cut off
Not exactly. The reciever strip is loaded with gold. Has 130 pins or so.
yea but its a connector not a finger, $2 pound vs $70 pound, big difference
Good point. Guess ill explore resell or just leave them on the board.
That receiver still has gold contacts in it, probably dam good ones being an HP sever with 16MB sticks(16MB sticks in a name brand server = early 90s at the latest)
That's not exactly like a mobo what's missing the socket, Nor a RAM what's missing it's fingers, you might aughta ask several places, if one wants to downgrade it
