hand sorting cpus

I hand sorted about 80 pounds of cpus last night. Took about 3 hours to do so. The highlights were finding 35 dual core cpus skt 775 along with a q6600 quad core. Lots of pentium d's and core 2 duos. Found 2 quad cores in the last month, q6600 and a q8200. Both quads going up on ebay today to raise some cash. Still have about 50 dual cores in stock and a quad core xeon e5310.

Do you test them before you ebay them or just refund the money if they dont work?

Im thinking about setting up a motherboard and just test them that way for resale. Only bad thing is Ive ruined 2 $40 motherboards so far testing chips. Those sockets are not ment for in and out 100 times for sure.

I shine a flashlight on the bottom of the cpu and look at all of the capacitors and mating surface. If there is any damage i do not resell the cpu, it goes in the scrap pile. Its a shame because i see alot of dual cores that have been damaged that wouldve been good cpus, found about 10 of those the other day. A thorough visual inspection will narrow out 90% of the bad ones.
