"knocking the pins off processors" price question

I had a customer call me today, he told me he "knocked the pins off From
Processors". I explained that this is not the best way to maximize profits , but considering he already did it, he wants me to get prices for him.
What are these considered? And who buys it?
    Thanks!

Wow well I am not sure what to offer how much does he have? How far is he from you? Do you have the means to send it in with the rest of your stuff to your buyer?
We woudl pay about $55-65lb for that stuff.

On the fiber processors, that's about the best part of the chip from my understanding. I'm not sure if you can get anything out of them without the pins.

On the slot processor, you could probably get finger card (without finger) pricing from someone.

yes, that is what i was figuring as well, looking at green board price at the bare minimum approx $4 pound, and id be perfectly fine with that if i could find a buyer. I also have about 30 pounds of lcd boards ive trimed most of the gold off of. They are still high grade boards. If i could find a buyer i could supply this material on a regular basis.

have you thought of saving up enough of the harder to sell stuff and having it refined?

i dont like the idea of refining or toll refining. All the offers i have ever had have been less than 50% of what i can get selling it as-is as scrap.

I have been sending my ceramics to be toll refined. My first batch I got right at scrap value. Hoping for a little better ob my second batch. My first batch was mostly gold window eproms thips second batch is much higher yield material so my toll will be much less.

Yea, i pretty well know what the scrap is worth as scrap. Its that risk of dealing with someone new that i have the problem with i guess.
