    super computer cpus

    I am wondering if anyone knows the value of something like this ive never seen a cpu quite like it, this guy has about 4 of these up for sale that all look slightly different, obviously its collectors value and not scrap value:

    I got this one out of a IBM Mainframe that was built around 2000.

    That CPU is from an IBM ASA 400 mainframe computer.

    Nice one can go real high if you find one leave it with the heat-sink and as intact as you can. that will bring in lot. I've not seen one yet but it would be cool to find.

    etack,

    The ASA 400 has 4 of these CPU's in a box formation with 1 large copper heatsink. The last one i pulled off weighed well over 50+ pounds in just heatsink. Pure copper.

    Super computer CPUs are some of the coolest things you can see in computing, money was no object in their design and manufacture. Sadly they get melted for gold content.
