Question about scrap value of a Compaq Proliant ML370

What would the scrap value of this be. I can get one like it locally for $60 or passably less. I have no experience with servers and would like opinions before I talk to him.

    HP Compaq Proliant ML370 102119 031 Server | eBay

    Thanks
    Chris

The scrap value of this unit is between 25 and 35 dollars in my humble opinion

I recently did one. I think my breakdown was $36 in scrap value plus I sold a few parts.

I just did 2 of these last month and ended up with about 32.00 in scrap each.

I considered trying to sell on ebay, but those things weigh a ton and I wasn't into shipping them. It will depend on the model, I had G2s, the newer models will support better processors, I would stay away from these at that price.

I bought 2 of them at auction for 15.00. At 60.00 I think you are going to lose on ebay and with scrap. While you posted an example of one that sold for 75.00, this appears to be the exception. Also note, that after almost 30 days I have not sold the working power supplies either.

You will notice if you search Ebay that the ones selling are G4 and G5 with a significant amount of memory and 2+ ghz processors. The one you linked is a G1 or G2 with the 1 ghz processors. They haven't been selling.
