    search help

Hi all and thanks for the help in the past

I have been using the search function here to look up various things, but occationally have a bit of trouble.

how do you get it to look for a combination of words only instead of posts with each single word,

    or is this even possable

my current research is a mainframe printer

I am getting search results for "printers" "mainframes" etc

but no hits for a "mainframe printer"

    so..ok, I give

have any of you scrapped a mainframe printer? this one is all steel, 1200 lbs 4' x 5' x 3' , a monster of a printer

Yes I plan to see if it or parts of it will go for "more than scrap" pricing

    Thanks

You tried the advance search function also? or just the normal search box? If just the normal one, maybe try searching in the advanced search option. I usually have better luck using it vs the search box.

If you've tried the advanced feel free to disregard this post. I won't hold it against you.

    And make some sloppy lemonaide,,,

I even tried the advanced and used the quotation marks around the multiple words but it will still search singley. It works on Google just not here, might have to go with the main word, mainframe. ???

Yes..I forgot how stubbron that search function could be. Perhaps the list at the bottom with similar topics might help after you've tried searching Mainframe Printer.

All else fails..post a new topic on it, soon as you do that we'll find the 50 others folks have asked over the years.

Far as sloppy lemonade..it's always sloppy if I try to make it fresh. If I'ma make a mess either way, might as well enjoy it with the sledge.

    Thanks, I'll keep looking

I don't think a sledge hammer will work on this printer, not just steel but very thick steel

I may use the cabanet for tool storage

    thanks again

    LOL...now thats a printer!

Wasn't saying to use a sledge on it, maybe a wrecking ball....ha! Good luck though breaking that sucker down, and be sure to post some pics of the goodies.
