Red face Why no buyers in Los Angeles ?

Try to find some e-waste buyers in my area 91706 CA without any luck. National buyers are kind of far from Los Angeles due to shipping costs. Does anyone know any local e-waste buyers in LA ? (Pretty much everything in the computer Ex mobo cd floppy psu ram cpu case plastic cables n more 4 a few hundred pounds thus far) Thanks.

If there are none then become one. You are right as far as I can tell from the buyers locations on here, I do not believe there are any on the left coast. I would be thinking long, hard and quickly before that idea hits someone else.

There are several e-waste processors/refiners in Southern Cal. One of the reasons I decided to locate in Northern Ca, they just do not exist up here as they do down there.

I would do as BRASSCATCHER suggested and become a purchaser. There are huge quantities of material available in the state of California, and if you really cannot find any scrap yards that purchase e-waste, I would jump all over it if I were you. You could accumulate 20k-40k tons of material and have it all processed at the same time and make a fair amount of profit doing so, even paying readily accepted scrap prices.

You might try this compainy California Computer Electronics Recycling Collection Pick-up Disposal Scrap I don't know anything about them, found them through a google search. Looks like they even buy crt's but I think they have to be whole.

If you want some idea how good they are then compare their prices with our buyers then you'll know how good or bad they are.

I didn't see any prices, I know the prices for the buyers on here are some of the best but by reading his post it looked like he was looking for a local buyer. Some things are not worth shipping so it's always good to have a local buyer. Then again prices don't tell how good a compainy they are.

How well we know that, we've heard the horror stories.

I was just suggesting that he could compare our buyers prices to theirs when he gets to talk to them, that would let him know whether they are worth working with or not.

Thanks for all input. It seemed like there is no any other ways around to find any local buyers thus far in LA beyond that one above. Why no any national buyers setting up a base here ? I do not know how those california e-waste company sell these precious metals in Los Angeles after collection. Price is important but just a part of deal in long run that all I can tell. If none, How to cut off shipping costs to deliver those items to some national buyers close here ? Does any LA user on this forum ? Any ideas welcome.

I know of two recycling Co. you can try. I have not sold them anything yet! I was told of them and that they buy. Cal Micro Recycling (Ontario) Greenway Recycling (Pomona) both in the 917-- zip codes and google. I plan to try both and one of the sellers/members so as I know what worked for me. Will let all know.

Nothing confused at all If you read title above (LA No doubt at all). The reason I posted here because of no any national buyers closing my area and no any local buyers I can find thus far. As this is new e-waste business, So I am looking for some help if possible on this forum. If you have any idea or doing similar business in Los Angeles, Please share here. That is the whole point why we have this forum. Thanks 2 all.
