    Forgotten parts in crts

The silver colored braided copper by the degaussing cable. Cut springs and wire off to get #2 copper.
The clamps off yokes. They are stainless steel not steel. The screw in 1 of the clamps will be stainless while the other will be regular steel. Use your best friend-a magnet to find out which is which.

I have found that some of the little plastic boxes attached to the boards have things that count as electric motors in them. I've also been getting light copper pricing for the black things that screw onto the aluminum on the boards. I would post pics but haven't learned how to do it from my phone yet.

I pick out the 'time delay' parts on the circuitboard because they have gold wires & also they look pretty & would make great jewelry.

Smells a lot like plagiarism. Also the little crimped tabs are brass.

    Those are transistors and IC's.

i wish i could post pics on here.i dont have a camera though.anyhow i got the best tv ive had yet today.it was a very large HEAVY sony.it had the biggest degausing cable ive saw yet in it.also the cord was like an industrial grade extension cord.the coolest thing was it had a place on the back were it accepted 10 rca jacks and a phone line.i got a board out of that part with the gold pins for the phone line and also gold plating on the board.im not sure the grade but it is about the size of 2 baseball cards beside each other.it looks cool anyhow.i broke off the heavy steel piece with the rca jacks on it,as it was steel and i figured it should come off,i left the two gold conectors on it.it also has 2 large ic chips and a flat pack and a few very tiny ic,s on the other side.it is green on both sides.im not sure of the grade so i put in in my green board question mark box, which grows by the day.id love to thank everyone here again for all the great info.ive hauled scrap for seventeen years and never gave electronics a second look.i always cut the cords and put it all in shred other than large electric motors and aluminium and such.i had to hide the boards actualy .no where here buys them.but competition is very high here on normal scrap, since ive started taking electronics businius is good.i took severaL ideas from this site and businius is great i have low grade stuff running out my ears.and im getting good stuff at least a little every day.i have a computer repair shop giving me everything but there ram, which i secured for a working laptop hard drive.idea from here by the way.i stopped by and within an hour i left with two garbage bags of boards and a ton of plastic .mostly mother boards and finger cards from what i can tell.i also have a local garbage woman dropping off all electronics i just have to cut the cords off and give them to her ,which i gladly do.i put up a flyer at the local store and some days i leave and come home with a pile in front of my building, mostly telephones ,radios and dvd players but occasionally better stuff..anyhow im going to go i am rambling on.i didnt mean to get so ooff topic sorry bout that .THANKS AGAIN FOLKS FOR ALL THE GREAT KNOWLEDGE HERE IN THE ARCHIVES!!!!!!!!!!!ITS GREATLY APPRECIATED

Light copper do you mean #2 or electric motor price?

That Sony CRT was a Trinitron. They have the biggest degaussing cables.

Post a pic of a time delay component, I think I know what you mean, but I just want to confirm my ideas
