I was breaking down some computers and I came across a CPU mounted on a finger board. I haven't come across this before. Any ideas of how to grade this and should I pry the CPU chip off the board?

Leave it on. That whole thing is sold as a slot CPU..usually a bit less than ram pricing.

I HATE these..got 20 or so that I cant even get the heatsinks off...makes me mad...
But yeh, leave em..

a lot of times they are fastened with metal clips. you can slide a skinny screwdriver up under.

Really? I have never found one that didn't come apart easily. Usually there are clips on the plastic side holding the heatsink against the CPU...pop those with a screwdriver and the whole thing just falls apart.

Use a large flat head and shuck them like a clam.

Watch out, they bite!! lol, always cut my knuckles open popping those things apart

I did my first one of these this morning and this works. Take the faceplate off and there are two metal clips on the side with the three IC chips. Pop those off and the board falls off the heatsink.

The heat sink came right off this one without any difficulties.
