If you are talking about the black fiber CPU's, lat 2 on a hard surface with the pins down. Put the one you are going to remove the heat sink from on top of the 2 on the surface. Put it with the black part facing up and take a screwdriver and a hammer and tap the corners through the epoxy and it will knock the black epoxy out and remove the heat sink
