    Cordless phones?????

Got a bunch of cordless phones and a base on a pick up and was just wondering if you think they would sell scrap wise for the same as cell phones. I currently have these items listed on feebay so can't currently break it open but do you guys think there are any good boards in them?

9 times out of 10...nope. all the ones I open have low grade boards...sometimes you find a slightly nicer one in there but that is rare. Generally the batteries these days are li-ion (I get like $1.25/lb or ni-cad or ni metal...only like .25/lb).

Best part is they open pretty easily and you can process them quickly.

That's funny becuase every cordless phone I open has a mid grade board. You might want to check around with other buyers and see what they would pay for them.

I never know until I open them up. I scrapped two this week. The first was a cheap one with a low grade brown board in it. The second one was a NEC brand that sells for about 500.00. It had a nice high grade board with a lot of gold plating.

The search button is working, i got this from there.

(So I had these cordless phones sitting in my electronics pile, I decided to take them apart just to see what is in them.

I believe these boards may be considered high grade. Looks like some gold on them. What do you all think?)

Yes, they come in all flavors and types! Low grade, mid, high, into the omgitsgoldbucketitgoes. You will find all kinds in cordless phones. I get quite a bit of them from one of my Thrift store clients. I like cordless phones, their fun to bust open.
