Of course, the title refers to circuit board square footage. You didn't come here thinking anything else, did you? I just finished cleaning up part of yesterdays pickup and would like some opinions. However, since I'm sure someone will want to know, we'll start with what I cleaned up. The following 3 photos are of the faceplates of the 3"x3"x4 boxes. The casings were all aluminum and everything was held together with non-magnetic SS screws.

I feel a severe case of gold balls coming on...there were 16 of the following box.

Next 2 photos are of approx. 80% of the boards, the remaining 20% look just like these. Bic lighter for size comparison.

How much, dollar wise would you expect to get per pound for the following? Gold fingers on both sides.

You might check those round silver looking transistors for "gold" legs. May also have a "gold bottom" lol If they have them then the value goes up a little.

In the red switches the gold balls are plated over silver. The transistors
Mechanic spoke of if they have gold legs open one up and there should be a nice gold plated disc the diameter of
    the transistor. Nice score

    gold legged/gold ring transitters

Recently found over 100 lbs. of circuit boards, all are from the 70's & 80's, all are from medical testing equipment. All are plug in type circuit boards with gold fingers on both sides. These boards for the most part have socketed componets. So far I have pulled 15 ounces of gold legged transistors and 1/4 lb. gold legged - gold capped eproms/IC chipps. None of these are soldered in, they are socketed. I will get some pictures up when I can (really busy installing landscapes). Any idea about value of chips and transistors? These boards also have RF connectors that I'm sure are gold, so far I have removed about a pound of these RF connectors, only the ones I can unscrew by hand, the mounting bases are sodered to boards. There are more than 60 large circuit boards (12" x 16") and 100+ smaller boards (6.5" x 9") all with gold fingers and gold mounting sockets. I have never sold ewaste, so I need to pick a buyer. Sorry for jumping on this thread, but you guys are talking about gold legged transistors and I have a lot of them!

Yes, they do have gold legs and gold bottoms. I realized I had left those facts out but didn't have time to edit the post again after the photo fiasco.

The reason I made this post was to get opinions on the dollar value per pound on the second group of two photos. Three hundred views later and no one has an opinion as to what their buyer would likely pay? Really?!

Value and how they are graded is up to whoever you sell them to. Some might buy as fingercards, bracketless finger cards or maybe a higher grade since they are populated with alot of value it seems. The reason no one may have given you a price is because most may not have ever had the opportunity to have that type of material in their possession. So when you do get a price on them please post it on the open forum so the rest of us can know as well.

Are those little red dollop things on the boards tantalum electrolytic capacitors?

If they have a symbol on it that describes the - (negative pole) leg, it probably is a Tanti. (on other capactors they only describe the positive pole)

I'd bet it's a toss-up between motherboard and finger cards pricing because of the IC chips and the fingers.

I've thankfully seen very few porn flicks, but from what I have seen, there were no dinners after

The way to get pricing is send your pics to a buyer or three, you won't see many buyers respond to pricing questions in an open thread ; )

I am guessing somewhere between finger and RAM. At least for that last picture.
