First old telephone answering machine fax. Do I pass the test?

Read everything I could find on here and looked at all the pretty pictures and then gave it a go.

    So oh Guru's of Scrap.

    Do I pass the test?

Item: Panasonic Model KX-F1200 Telephone Answering System with Facsimile

All wires sorted according to my yard's version of #2 and #3 insulated.

All plastic tossed in the "later" barrel.

    Metal to the shred barrel.

Almost new roll of film posted on ebay at a big discount, but still a nice little chunk of change.

Shiny metal rods set aside for future ebay listing.

Which brings us to the Mystery of the Boards and if I have learned what I think I have. Would be great if a Guru or two would chime in and let me know if my sort seem right or if I have it fouled up.

Low Graded to pick clean of Copper and a bit of AL:

    Mid Grade to send away:

    Memory/Gold Fingers to send away:

Thanks for all the great advice and information we have found here. The wife jokes and tells the kids "Daddy is at school" when I get engrossed in reading the threads

Woodsie, you need a few more posts before adding links or pictures, it's just a safety feature.

Under each one of those buttons on the low grade board is a sequin size silver disc. Just take a pair of needle nose pliers and gently tear off the upper portion and there it sits. Is it worth the time? Probably not.

Most of those I open up (at nite) have gold plating on one side of the button at least. Goes in a OMG bottle.

I had thought that the silver content might be the higher value. However, according to my rough calculations it will take 30,000 to 40,000 of those little discs to equal one ounce. Granted it all adds up but I'll be dead long before I get one ounce. Mechanic, I'll leave you what I've saved up to that point in my will. That'll be approx. 25-35 yrs from now (or could be tomorrow). If silver price stays the same but inflation remains at the current rate you can go out and have a Coke at my expense. LOL
