If they work you can resell them pretty decently. I need a new one, current one sucks. So keep me in mind if you find working tom toms.

Stay away from Magellon or however you spell it. Pain in the ass gps. If it hadn't been free an I didn't need it, I'd throw the bastard in the ocean tied to a big rock.

I didn't even think about that, I thought they were obsolete as I have used my phone for directions for years now!

I went and grab two of them, one I can't find any p/n's on it, about 3" x 4" screen with mini USB plug and a port for a smart card. The other one is TomTom XXL p/n c_NO:GL5300B10188 about 3 1/2" x 5" just has mini USB plug. I will check to see if they power up, I don't know anything about them, so will check them out later today. I have others, just been throwing them in a box.

I refuse to use my phone for GPS. Just another reason for the man to pull me over if he see's me messing with it. Nor do I need yet something else on my dash/windshield blocking up viewing space.(Phone holders, etc). So the car gps works for me. No fiddling with my phone when it times out, etc etc.

The car units are still very much in demand. When I was looking for a new one after my old one got stolen, I saw some decent pricing for older units all over the internet.

I ended up with this crap Magellon or however it's spelt. If you see this brand, scrap the hell out of it. Do not make some other poor soul suffer.

    Just my thoughts!

Sirscrapalot - Yes, I would like change.
