    Board Buyer in Canada

You guys up north of the border keep wanting to know a buyer there, here's an old thread I ran across about one

    http://www.scrapmetalforum.com/elect...le-boards.html

Do some research on it tho, I think there's also been mention of it on other threads, maybe load minimum or something, not really sure what it was

maybe two or three could put their loads together to get the better price, I know I would if I was in that situation.

I have said it before there is business waiting to happen in Canada. I just hope one of our members figures it out. Mike.

Id love to start buying but im not quite at that level yet. Im workin my way up slow, I just started with e-waste and iv got big ideas, its just hard to materialize them right now. Im limited to space and cash flow. Not to mention pretty busy with normal work ans getting my mechanics license.

Iv started by advertising locally and seem to be the only one offering to buy computers. But iv noticed the biggest problem is people dont read. I get alot of confused emails or calls. I specifically put I only buy junk or broken pcs that would otherwise end up in landfills. I get emails with people who want 100 bucks and list off all the specs. Im not buying for resale. Not yet. Iv only just dipped my pinky toe into the ewaste waters and dont feel comfortable buying for resale. Iv had a few hits. Bought a couple towers but nothing close to the volume id like to be doing/im able to do.

Another issue is I find myself waiting and waiting for call backs or email replys from companies iv contacted who seem interested in my proposals. I follow up after a little while, but im still left waiting and waiting. Juse seema like bad busineaa practice not replying. I didnt want to ask a question on this thread but i cant resist. How do you guys deal with an issue like this? I dont want to "bug" them to a point where they get annoyed with me and lose interest. But i dont want them to forget about me.

All that said, im workin on it and seem to be making headway slowly. SLOWLY. lol I just hope nobody gets there and monopolises first.

    Ps sorry for rambling. LOL
If I didn't have bad luck, I'd have no luck at all...

Personally I do better with computer repair shops. Also some of our members participate or organize recycle drives in their communities. You've identified your current limitations, money and space. With direction and determination you could be the one who succeeds in becoming a serious buyer. Best of luck, Mike.

Study your ads Jord, look at at old threads for them, maybe even post one up and let the SMF evaluators(haha) offer suggestions to improve it. Good luck

Drives are great ideas but im not a licensed business so that could pose some issues. Iv tried contacting repair shops a while ago for free removals but now that im more knowledgable with prices im going to try the buying route.

Im gonna try and self teach myself with alot of this but proper direction from you guys when its needed actually helps a heck of alot. So thank you!
