If it's real wood it shouldn't be such a hassle, some(if not most) with real wood make nice enough cabinets to be re-purposed in almost countless ways

They are gold plated. These are the largest I've found yet. Transistors about 1/4 inch diameter and legs over an inch long. The "wood" is usually particle board.
are those Ta caps too? Nice score.
Take a look at those high tech hexagon heat sinks on a couple of the transistors!! Did they just ram the things into hex nuts?
