Sell online or have smelted?

I presently have 3 lbs of nice gold computer pins (military type color gold), that i am unsure whether its more profitable to sell online as opposed to having a local guy smelt it for a percentage. I had a pound of mixed (lots of silver ends) that i had smelted down into a 352 gram bar and had tested and here is the break down:

nickle - 0.8543
copper - 92.7253
zinc - 5.1407
silver - 0.637
gold - 0.6327


This means I would have a total of 2.26g of gold in that bar. How much of a difference is there between good gold and bad gold plating?

the big difference is making that gold pure to sell and that's were your cost is going to be so selling on ebay might be good for you but even better would be to save until you have 100lbs or so to start on the road to refining but there are tons of threads on here about this. alot of factors involved here to go over so research is key to your answers.

might also be a question for GRF as well, especially for the refining part, but you'll likely get better ebay answers here(in time)
I'd suggest not rushing into any decision until you've researched and refined all answers/possibilities
